The Village Hall
Sheriff Hutton’s village hall was built in 1984 and has been maintained to a very high standard throughout its life. Situated centrally in the village and in the shadow of the historic castle, the multi-room hall offers a range of facilities for leisure activities, sport and the arts, has its own private car park and an adjacent fully-enclosed children's play area.
The Main Hall is a full-sized badminton court which, when not used for sport, seats 192 theatre style and is licensed for 142 for dances and other partially-seated events. Two other rooms seating 27 and 16 respectively are available for smaller events or to provide multi-functional opportunities. The larger of the two rooms leads off the Main Hall and provides an excellent buffet or bar area for big functions. There is a well-equipped Kitchen, two Changing Rooms, with hot shower facilities, and a substantial Stage with lighting system. Hiring charges are kept as low as is possible.
