Field Naturalists
Interested in Wildlife? Then Read on.....
Our meetings cover a very wide variety of subjects from bees and bee keeping to wild birds, moles to mice—'all creatures great and small' (whether they live above or below ground!) - and almost all the other things which grow in the ground.
Programmes are prepared for the visits to interesting local areas within reach of the village. This is normally during the Summer months and can be mid-week or week-end visits depending on distance and site facilities.
During the winter months the meetings are held on Wednesdays at Heather Grange starting at 7-30pm.These meetings are held from October to March with interesting talks and slide shows by local naturalists.
The Group issues programmes for both Winter and Summer meetings to all its members. These are also published in the Village News and on notice boards within the village.
If you are interested in this group you will be able to find contacts in The Village News on this web site.
We meet at different venues, advertised in The Village News.
